SHAKESPEARE´S PROJECT

1ST AND 2ND GRADERS

Last month of April the students of 1st and 2nd did a project on Shakespeare.

Due to the 400th anniversary of his death they learned a lot of facts about this genius of the British literature.

 

They studied where he was born and when, some of his masterpieces and the fact that he together with his company built a theatre The Globe.

Nadjm, the teacher of music, drew a great portrait of Shakespeare. He is another artist.

They also did a compare and contrast : Shakespeare and Cervantes. Both of them died the same year and we are celebrating the 400th anniversary of their deaths.

They also studied Shakespeare´s Philosophy and some of them perfomed it in the Jocs Florals theatre play Romeo i Julieta.

They did a great job and they learnt a lot of facts about these two great writers.

OUR INVENTIONS

Graders 5 have been talking about Incredible Inventions in Unit 6.

Johannes Gutenberg, Ada Lovelace, Thomas Edison, Alexander Graham Bell and Leonardo da Vinci, of course !

In the same way Leonardo da Vinci designed a helicopter with a spiral blade on the top , or a flying machine with a bird's wings, called the ornithopter ; some of our students proving their creativity have been designing some other inventions.

AND WHO KNOWS... 
Maybe they are the new " 21st century Da Vinci "
